3. Cookies

Acceptance of cookies is not a prerequisite for browsing our pages. However, we point out that our site and our services have limited functionality if we are not allowed to insert cookies. For details on the use of cookies on our site, please refer to the Cookie Policy page.

3.1 What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that are stored on your data medium and that stores certain settings and data for the exchange with our systems through your browser. In principle we distinguish two types of cookies: the so-called session cookies, which are deleted as soon as the browser is closed and the permanent / temporary cookies that are stored for a prolonged or indeterminate period on your data medium. We need this memorization in order to be able to set the pages of our website and our proposals in a more convenient way to you and therefore facilitate the use, for example by storing certain settings so that it is not necessary to repeat them every time.

3.2 What types of cookies does FIXI use?

Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your hard disk at the end of the browser session (this is why they are called session cookies). Session cookies are used, for example, to offer you the shopping cart feature on multiple pages. In addition we also use cookies that remain on your hard disk. In subsequent visits you have the automatic recognition of the fact that you have already been on our website and what settings and data you prefer. These temporary or permanent cookies (lasting from 1 month to 10 years) are stored on your hard disk and are deleted by themselves when the set time expires. In particular, these cookies are used to make our offer more usable for consumers, efficient and safe. For example, with these files, you can view individually selected information on the website based on your interests. The exclusive purpose of these cookies is to adapt our offer to the customers' wishes as best as possible and to make the visit to our website as comfortable as possible.

3.3 What data are stored in the cookies?

Only pseudonymized data are used in the cookies used by FIXI. When cookies are activated, an identification code is assigned to them and there is no match between your personal data and this identification code. Your name, IP address or similar data, which could allow you to be traced directly from the cookies, are not included in the cookies. On the basis of cookie technology we obtain only pseudonymized information, for example concerning the pages of our website that have been visited, the products that have been examined, etc.

3.4 How can you exclude the storage of cookies?

In your browser you can set the option that accepts cookies only if you give your consent and therefore prevent further storage of cookies in the future. If you want to accept FIXI cookies, but not those of other service providers and partners, you can choose the block third-party cookies setting in your browser. Normally the help function in the toolbar of your web browser explains how to reject new cookies and make those already present ineffective.

4. Log File

For each access to the FIXI web pages, data usage is transmitted by the respective internet browser and stored in log files, the so-called web server log files. The data series stored in this procedure contain the following data: date and time of the call, name of the website called, IP address, referrer-URL (URL of origin, that of the website through which you arrived on the website in question), the amount of data transmitted, as well as information about the products and the version of the browser used. We process these log file data series to improve and make our website more usable, to identify and remove errors faster and to manage server capabilities. At the same time we use the log file data series to reject attacks outside our website, for example those within the so-called distributed denial of service that have the goal of blocking our servers by overloading them with requests.

5. Web Analysis

PWe use the so-called tracking technologies to continuously improve and optimize our offer. For this purpose we use the services of Google Analytics.
